"Manifests" vinyl is now available for purchase at two vinyl record retailers in the Windsor / Essex area.

Dr. Disc Records is located at 471 Ouellette Avenue in Windsor and is open 7 days a week. A long standing downtown Windsor retailer, Dr Disc Records previously worked with Tim on his feature length film, The Arrow & The String, where some scenes for that film were shot in their older location on Ouellette Avenue.


For Essex County residents, Vintage & Vinyl is located at 891 Front Road in La Salle and carries a wide selection of both vinyl and vintage curiosities and collectables. The V&V is open Wednesday through Sunday and has always has featured special sale offers and a wide array of variety in their new arrivals. Plan to take some time to browse one of Tim's favourite shops.

Earlier this summer, two of the eight tracks from "Manifests" ("Rollin' On" and "Real Gone") made their debut online and on the radio to promote the release. Here, for the first time, is the complete tracklisting for the record. See if you can spot some patterns and hidden codes within the runtimes:

The full front and back gatefold cover features the "Northern Neighbour" font designed by Tim's close childhood friend, graphic designer Carl Shura. Check out Carl's entire portfolio and design work on his website. New York Central Railroad fans will be familiar with the locomotive depicted - it also makes a cameo appearance in the background of a photo on the inside cover.

After some delays with the printing of the lyric insert sheets, "Manifests" is now set for a November 4th release of the vinyl to shops locally and a November 18th release to digital streaming services. 

The lyric insert sheets are copies of the original typewriter drafts for song lyrics and ideas, all typed on Tim's 1948 Olympia portable (except one handwritten sheet). The lyric sheets contain original drafts of some songs that appear on the record (and several songs that did not make the record), often with alternate lyrics, edits, variations and handwritten edits, notes and adjustments that show Tim's songwriting process. Readers of the sheets will be able to note how rough drafts of ideas are disassembled and reassembled with other lyrics to make a song, how some lyrics edited out of songs ended up being recycled into other completely different songs. There are 12 lyric sheets total - all vinyl copies of the album will come with 8 sheets plus an additional random selection of 2 sheets from the remaining 4. Compare notes with your friend's copies to see what sheets you might have that they don't and vice versa. A lyrical puzzle to piece together and deconstruct, if you will.

A Windsor record release show originally planned for November has been postponed until the new year. 

Tim's first album will be released this coming November 2022. Featuring the songs "Rollin' On" and "Real Gone", the album will contain 8 songs with a runtime of nearly 45 minutes.

The album will be released on physical format as a 180gram black vinyl record in a gatefold jacket with a printed record sleeve and lyric insert sheets. The album will be released at a record release show currently scheduled for early November in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Details will be forthcoming regarding admission, location, date and a time. The release show will feature a performance by Tim Swaddling & His Band that will include songs from the album as well as other Tim originals and some cover songs. The album will be made available to local record shops after the release show. It will then be added to all major streaming services in mid November.
