SETLIST: NOVEMBER 11, 2023 - THE GROVEDALE HOUSE - KINGSVILLE, ON, CANADA

The Kingsville Music Society held a Double Album Feature show at the Grovedale in Kingsville, Ontario. Fresh Breath released an all new full length album on CD and Tim's Manifests was featured in his hometown for the first time.

Tim was accompanied by Grady Caplin playing electric lead guitar and pedal steel guitar for some unique stripped down takes on some of the Manifests songs as well as newer Tim material featured recently in setlists with the full band. Making rare outings in the setlist on this night were two Manifests songs, Little Timmy and, in an entirely new arrangement with some new lyrics, The C&O Don't Stop Here Anymore.

Grady also put on a show of his own during Rollin' On by switching between both the pedal steel guitar and electric guitar to trade lead licks with himself to the great amusement of the audience.

Tim and his band opened for Henry Bemis & The Books at a jam packed Phog Lounge on Saturday night. The setlist featured some surprises, including a tribute to the late Robbie Robertson with covers of “Broken Arrow” and “When I Paint My Masterpiece” (a Bob Dylan song that The Band also recorded). Both covers were a first for Tim.

“The Fire” made a return to the setlist, the first such outing since the February 3 '23 show opening for The Blackburn Bros.

DR. JOHN DICKINSON MEMORIAL SHOW

Last night, Windsor's music community paid tribute to one of its greatest champions in Dr. John Dickinson in a memorable night of performances at Meteor. Everyone shared stories on and off the stage of Dr. John in a celebration that met the wishes he had outlined in his will. Even in his absence, he once again brought our community closer together.

Tim's six song setlist was highlighted by being joined by surprise special guest Kelly “Mr Chill” Hoppe, who played harmonica, melodica and contributed vocals on two songs never performed by Tim before. Those two songs, Jesse Winchester's “Defying Gravity” and the Mr Chill classic “Ocean” were selected as tributes to Dr. John, who was a big fan of Mr Chill - provided he wasn't playing the great Gene MacLellan penned “Snowbird”, a song he didn't care for, as Hoppe noted in a funny anecdote he shared during the show.

NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT: JULY 8, 2023 - DR. JOHN DICKINSON MEMORIAL TRIBUTE

Tim will be playing a very special and emotionally charged acoustic solo show this Saturday in memory for a friend to both Tim and countless others in the Windsor music and arts community, Dr. John Dickinson.

Per Dr. John's will, his family has organized a pub-crawl event this Saturday that will be capped by a series of musical performances at The Meteor venue of some of the local musicians Dr. John championed, cheered, helped and supported through the years.

Dr John's generosity touched many. To learn more about his extraordinary spirit, read the Windsor Star obit published following his passing on April 10, 2023.

The musicians coming to pay tribute are a who's-who of local songwriters in this region, all of them with plenty of stories to tell about Dr. John. Among them are Windsor troubadour and good friend of Dr. John, Ron Leary, Windsor songstress Tara Watts, Tim's musical mentor Lonesome Lefty and many others. A full list follows below.

SETLIST: JULY 1, 2023 - KINGSVILLE CANADA DAY CELEBRATION - KINGSVILLE, ON, CANADA

Tim and the band performed for the Town Of Kingsville's Canada Day celebrations. Due to the weather, the event was moved inside the arena complex in the upstairs hall. Kelly “Mr. Chill” Hoppe was a very special guest performing with the band, a rare outing for the Windsor music legend, who didn't disappoint with his harmonica playing and tenor sax work.

Setlist highlights included Hoppe leading the band in an instrumental, harmonica lead version of the Canadian National Anthem, “O Canada” to kick off the show. The show ended with two covers never performed before by Tim and the band - a re-arranged version of Woody Guthrie's “This Land Is Your Land” and a hopped up version of “Step It Up & Go”, based in part on the wild Maddox Bros & Sister Rose version of Blind Boy Fuller's version of “Bottle Up & Go”
