TIM SWADDLING BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

A Florida man once remarked that Tim Swaddling sounds like "a young electric era Bob Dylan singing the old Bob Dylan's songs". Few would challenge the Florida man.

Born deep in the 20th Century, Tim is best known as the poet laureate of Kingsville, Ontario, once a prominent voice of the promise of the 90's New Traditionalists movement of Southwestern Ontario. He quickly moved into the rodeo arts and became a five time Saddle Bronc riding champion of Essex County as well as a two time Steer Roping champion in neighbouring Kent County. Within a few years, he shocked many by becoming a Born Again Poseidonite, donned a sailor's cap and won multiple nautical knot tying competitions across the southern Great Lakes region in the categories of Bowline, Clove Hitch (twice), and Rolling Hitch, before embarking on a brief filmmaking career in the late 2000s. He then disappeared into the maze of North American railroads, riding boxcars across the continent for years and was written off as a has-been by the end of the 2010's, but then suddenly shifted gears and began writing songs, which were some of the strongest overall work of any stage of his career, beginning in the early 2020s.

The first album of Tim's originals was recorded in late summer 2021 and will be released in the third quarter of 2022 on the Rose City Records label.
