Tim and his band performed a full headline show for the first time in nearly a year at a packed Phog Lounge last night in downtown Windsor, Ontario. It was just the second show Tim and his band have played so far in 2025, after the May show opening for Daniel Romano.
The show featured the live debut in Tim's band of lead guitarist Joel Mayville. Tim had previously played with Mayville on occasion in years past as a member of Lonesome Lefty & The Cryin' Shames.
The setlist included several live debuts for Tim and the band, with covers of Santo & Johnny's “Sleepwalk”, Richard Thompson's “1952 Vincent Black Lightning”, Bob Dylan's “Crossing The Rubicon”, Windsor blues legend George “Wild Child” Butler's “The Axe & The Wind” and Charley Ryan's “Hot Rod Lincoln” being sprinkled in the diverse setlist.
Tim also sat in with The Ford City Ramblers for two songs to open the show, performing two Stanley Brothers songs, “Highway Of Regret” and “Stone Walls & Steel Bars”, both songs Tim had never performed live before previously.
Also sitting in with the Ramblers on fiddle for the night was special guest Mike “Lonesome Lefty” Houston, who also guested with The Tipsy Two later in the night.
