DR. JOHN DICKINSON MEMORIAL SHOW

Last night, Windsor's music community paid tribute to one of its greatest champions in Dr. John Dickinson in a memorable night of performances at Meteor. Everyone shared stories on and off the stage of Dr. John in a celebration that met the wishes he had outlined in his will. Even in his absence, he once again brought our community closer together.

Tim's six song setlist was highlighted by being joined by surprise special guest Kelly “Mr Chill” Hoppe, who played harmonica, melodica and contributed vocals on two songs never performed by Tim before. Those two songs, Jesse Winchester's “Defying Gravity” and the Mr Chill classic “Ocean” were selected as tributes to Dr. John, who was a big fan of Mr Chill - provided he wasn't playing the great Gene MacLellan penned “Snowbird”, a song he didn't care for, as Hoppe noted in a funny anecdote he shared during the show.
